Re: WW2 101st Airborne Kit
viva armaments make the .30 too if im not mistaken. good luck finding them in stock though as i was told they were only a limited production item. shoot & scoot may be the best bet.

Re: WW2 101st Airborne Kit
awesome load outs on here, just needs a .45 to finish off, if I had the money I'd do the same. And to ride in a Willys Jeep, so badly want to drive one of these, work mate rebuilding one but taking forever to do it!! But when its done...

Re: WW2 101st Airborne Kit
Here's a pic of my WW2 lightweight Infantry Scout style equipment.....more of an impression than any attempt at an accurate depiction
1950's dated field jacket (Exact copy of the WW2 US jacket)
Old pair of brown trousers (oo err) - nicely faded
Brown leather Gloves - well used and worn in
Repro US Gaiters
Thompson M1 SMG - Custom Cutts Compensator and real Steel Wood Kit
Colt .45 Sidearm w/repro leather holster
Cold Steel Combat Knife w/leather sheath
WW2 vintage bino's - Only cost a tenner they work just fine and the case is well worn in and looks the part!
Repro 5 cell Thompson mag pouch, water bottle pouch and .45 mag pouch
1970's Dated Israeli webbing belt and suspenders - No where near anything like the period webbing but look OK

That lid needs repainted, bit too bright on the green. Wood kit looks nice and beat up though.

If I was going all authentic i would agree....however the team i play in is called The Flying Hellfish so I was originally going for a Simpsons style spoof loadout. If you look closely there is a Hellfish logo on the rear of the helmet where rank bars etc would normally go
The wood should look beat up....it's 70 years old and off a wartime Thompson.

Aha! In that case, I retract my colour comments!

Don't even get me started on the guys round here that have WW2 US Airborne gear with Stargate badges.

Re: WW2 101st Airborne Kit
Anyone got any ideas as to how I might be able to fade the colour of my webbing at all?
I feel its a bit to bright/clean/new looking.
Cheers

Re: WW2 101st Airborne Kit
you can leave it out in the sun, wash it on a warm wash, or as most people would say, roll around in the mud, but that takes a while, and it makes you dirty!
