      Hate to ruin things, but the Glock 17 Gen 4 has just been announced as a replacement service pistol. Before anyone jumps down my throat and says its the sig, its not as the sig was only a UOR. Apparently the two were level pegging it on the trials, until the prices were compared, the Glock came in about $300 cheaper per unit. Glock were seen at the last DSEi show howing their version for the British Army, only difference is a push safety above the mag release catch.

          The Glock will also be issued with the Doctor sight under the FIST program (or so I am told)
