This is such a derp thread....FML

M4s are reasonably priced and easily sourced in comparison to "British" weapons, so a uk originated contractor is just as likely to use one as anyone else.

Face it, if you want to do a current conflict loadout, you will be looking at m4 based weapons because that's what is in use.

Othe than that, what plate carrier and kit can you find within your budget that does what you need it to do? that's how it would really be chosen...

M4's aren't the default gun in the private sector.

Kalashinikovs are common, HK's, SIGs. Anything....

B.E.N as bangyourdead said, british contractors are issued weapons by the afghan government so thats AK weapons and a sigma or glock series weapon
