Re: just brought a gun off forum
you're best bet is to explain it to the seller, and ask that he/she sends you a replacement motor or refunds you enough money to buy your own. (that way you are sure you get a new motor and not a crapbucket that he just picked out the bin)
if you connected the battery the wrong way round it is likely that you would have felt the motor engage and it would whine for a little bit, and then after some time smoke may have come out.
also if the battery isn't fully charged and the spring is locked back the battery may not have the grunt to move the piston the final few teeth to release the spring. If you left it like this for a while the wiring would heat up possibly causing any oil in the motor or around it to ignite....
just a thought but try charging the battery ... if it was charged already you won't do any more harm by trying again as it sounds like your motor is screwed anyway.
also check the colour of the wires black to black red to red
good luck

Re: just brought a gun off forum
Any chance we could steer this topic in the right direction rather than having a discussion on the English language?

Would be good if the OP could clarify the original situation, rather than what he's doing atm- what seems like a poor attempt at trolling.

Agreed, the OP needs to clarify just what's happened, but lets not scare him off

Wouldn't have caused smoke though. I think the fault is with you, if a gun doesn't fire, don't hold the bleedin' trigger in until it starts smoking!
Not saying this is what you have done, but this is the most likely cause. Was it in Semi? And did you hold the trigger? Common mistake with AEGs is to do the first shot in Semi... Always go with Full Auto first

Out of interest, is this the gun that you changed/were going to change the plug on?

If it is, I wouldn't refund anything if I was the seller as there's no proof that you haven't knackered it/reversed the polarity during the plug change. If, on the other hand, it isn't then please ignore this(!).

Go poirot! Lol got to be the same gun, just so happens to have a large tammy on it like an spr would come stock. Good luck with the refund/new motor now mate! Even still, my dboys motor blew up in flames with no warning or wrong doing, so could be just hard luck.

Re: just brought a gun off forum
i aint came round to changing the sprs one yet i wanted to change my m4s ones first as i could use the clips off that and before i changed the clips i wanted to see the gun working so had my battery dug out the cupboard and on charge when tried it i thought oh it wasnt charged but then a small amount of smoke came out also i sniffed the bottom of the motor which smells like the smoke so it has got to be that
