Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
We spent 2 weeks in sennybridge roundabout 1977 in january doing Live firing excercises. Remember a guy was doing grenade drill with live grenades and he pulled the pin but the weapons trainer was making him hold it quite a long time showing him the correct way. Anyway the cold was getting to his fingers and he releases the grenade they s*it bricks and legged it from the firing pit. Effing hilarious but sh*t them both up nontheless

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
I hate the hot weather. It brings out the ticks and other problems.
I have missed 2 games in the last 3 months due to being ill.
On both occasions the weather was simply terrible. Freezing cold and driving rain. I have played in sleet while being in a muddy puddle for cover firing away with a grin on my face.
If I feel under the weather (pun intended) I avoid cold/rainy days.
I call it a small dose of common sense.:D

No such thing as bad weather...only bad clothing.
So true.
Rain = Goretex
Cold = micro fleece
Heat = Helly/Under armour
Cordura is also very water and wind resistant.
I remember a couple of years back I was at a desert vs woodland theme day on the desert side when it started to pour down a couple of hours into the day and I didnt have waterproofs but I was wearing my fsbe which kept my torso warm and dry. I also discovered boonies are quite good in the rain for keeping the rain off your glasses/goggles.

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
Cold doesn't bother me, just wear a good layering system, I just can't be bothered to play in heavy rain anymore. Remember a couple of similar games at GZ that HunterAndy mentioned. As he said, probably about only 30 people left. We left just before the end. Went back to the car park and it was almost empty. Delta don't seem to like bad weather, just like all the Delta Elite wannabes at TA2, they all cleared off home Sunday morning as it was torrential rain. Guess they don't like getting their CIRAS' wet

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
A couple of years ago me and a team of mates did the gunman 8man tournament and it snowed like crazy, there was nearly a foot of snow and deeper in places
it was tricky firing white bbs into a blizzard but dear good was it fun, it was like band of brothers when they were in bastogne

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
never all weathers are good!
love gaming in the rain, especially heavy rain, at our old site when it rained super heavy and we were tracking down the river it was like something straight out of the nam!
rain and our new site go well together too, urban, its always looks very eastern europe, nice.

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
Same as in fishing the weather shows the real hardcore players !!!!!
When the weather turns bad then you know who the "real" airsofters are :D
Plus having heavy rain, cold, snow, high winds etc gives more realism and also makes things harder just like real life situation, how many real soldiers can call time out just because it rains in the middle of a war ??!!!
Ask about joining the UNIT

Re: Would Bad Weather Stop You Playing?
The rain got me out so many bloody times. The drops feel like bbs.
But in all seriousness if i am paying 20 quid a session i would want the weather to actually be decent.
Plus remember that this is a game you play so everyone doesn't exactly look hardcore. At the end of the day airsoft is one of the saddest things out there (not saying i don't play. i find it's a guilty pleasure in a way) cause it's just a load of people firing toy guns at each other.
Now i wait.
