12 January, 2010, 23:24
Just a thread to see what different Snipers or DM's use as a back up weapon.
So what do you guys and gals use??
In my eyes is would something like a Scorpion or an MP5K.

Get yourself a Bandolier of midcaps, fit MAHOOSIVE springs in those badboys and then fill em up with bb's to compress the spring right down.. then.....

Re: Ideal Sniper Back-up Weapon
I used an AK-47- if you wouldnt use it as a primary, why use it as a backup?
Keep in mind im generally regarded as being a crazy before you take this advise- my current sidearm is a sword
G&G TR15 Raider XL, CA G36K, G&G MP5A4, Cyma Thompson, APS AKS-74U, Custom TM Uzi, DE M56, WE Nighthawk X2, Cyma Glock 18C
RD Customs MG42, The Bone Cannon And Project Balderdash.
If you aren't laughing, you're doing it wrong.

Re: Ideal Sniper Back-up Weapon
scorpions are ace
there is a tacvest you can buy that allows you to fit a scorpion on to in a crossdraw holster
then you could wear a ghillie over the top

Re: Ideal Sniper Back-up Weapon
There's a few options.
Glock 18C. Or a 26C or a 23F - any with the auto capability.
MP7 and MP9 offerings
MK.23? - Silent so still keeping a low profile.
Mac11.
MP5K
Or how about an MP5? They're relatively small (around 500mm I think) and can easily be slung on your back. Alternatively on a belt holster, so plenty of options.

Re: Ideal Sniper Back-up Weapon
My primary is as stated a SPR MOD O, then a CA m15a4 CQBR with EoTech as a backup and a western arms 1911 on my leg. It's a slow setup but gets me to a "camp"ing spot.
The beauty of two AR's is I only need one mag type.
