The ''problem'' with semi....how much of a problem is it as i like to use single shot a lot, instead of full auto.1-10......

I think the answer is to get an SA80 with spring release like the star L85A2.

Star's SA80 is the A2 model currently in service as opposed to AA which I understand is the old A1. It's very baffling why AA produced the A1 which had a well deserved terrible reputation. It was so bad that H&K were contracted to modify all existing A1s to A2. The A2 has a good reputation overall- it's essentially a H&K rifle after all!

It's made of stamped steel like the real thing and it weighs the same. Currently, it's the closest SA80 AEG to the real thing. I've thought about selling mine but can't bring myself to do it!

i have just bought an aa r85 and several people who have used the real steel said its a combination of a1 and a2 parts

THe AA one has a spring release, under the magwell.
