im new to all this but can you not run a thin lipo and put it in the stock tube the run what ever stock you would like?

Nope its not an option due to the recoil mechanism being in the stock tube. Only real option is has been discused earlier in the thread.

It is possible as that's how I had my Sopmod set up..

You can definitely not fit a lipo in the stock tube. I dont think you could even get the cableing into the stock tube itself, with how the stock tube actually sits against the end of the gearbox casing. Were the cables not routed through the rail on the stock tube?

As I said earlier I have no idea about the technical side of it, I just gave it to my local shop and they sorted it so I could use a Lipo battery held in the standard sopmod stock

I have just put a Magpul ACS stock on my Sopmod with a little bit of modding. Managed to get hold of a cheap stock so I didn't feel so bad if I messed up!
