How exactly are you setting it up because i was doing it wrong and it kept coming up with that error then jfox (very kindly) showed me how to and send me a pic of how it should look, here it is (jfox, hope you dont mind)

pooo i mentioned earlier that i was only usinmg the little plug and NOT the tamiya, now i will try it WITH the tamiya. told you i was a mong.

thats only the balance tab... the tamiya is what charges it..

mega, i stopped charging them. the voltage was up near 8v but the battery is a 7.4 is that the norm?

Let them keep charging till it beeps. Don't worry about the voltage, it will go up above 8v.
When it beeps it automatically switches off.

As above there is always a surplus voltage on all batteries. The charger will not let the battery overcharge. Wait for it to beep as said above.
