    Re: The Cheapsoft Challenge

    CQB kit:
    £55 - DE M56 tri-shot springer
    £30- Hong Kong police Vest
£11 - Navy blue boiler suit
    £7 - viper security belt
£11 - Viper Drop leg holster
    £80 - KJW G23

    Total: £194

All prices are NEW, I suspect by scouring the classifieds for second hand deals you could bring it down quite a bit, and you get a viable primary and secondary weapon.

Thanks for the input, but it's just a bit of fun. So much so I think I might run a couple of cheapsoft loadouts this weekend, see how they perform, just for the challenge...
yes but in the opening sentence you mentioned new players and then say its a "complete loadout" and then back track and say excluding boots, protection, batteries and bbs, which are very important so either it is a complete loadout or it isnt, and i said it in tongue in cheek hence the "lol"

Yo Trouble, this exercise should probably be completed using new prices only, for two reasons. First of all new players love to get the new gun smell for their first piece. Secondly using 2nd hand gear prices can dramatically alter gear expectations--where would you realistically be able find a TM AK for 80quid that's not in complete tatters?

For a budget of 200 it's gotta be a Cyma AK (even though I'd go up 40 and get a G&G Combat Machine because M4 am teh best), and you can do boots, batteries,

Pistols are worthless 99% of the time except for showing off. No serious cheapsoft loadout should include a sidearm.

A fair point but I've only ever purchased second hand (apart from anew TM MP7 GBB which was purchased for me). It's the cheapsoft way ;-)

I bought that TM AK off here for £80, put 200 rounds through it yesterday in the garden, fab little gun.

I agree on pistols but cheapsofters are allowed to show off as well!

            Keep the ideas coming, guys!

                        Re: The Cheapsoft Challenge

This wasn't put together for the challenge but thinking about what was spent it nearly fits and with some tweaks it would, second hand a lot of it though.
Also this picture was taken post me getting some more of the same mags and pouches, but the list below is what I bought after a couple rental games.

                        Snap-on safety specs - Free - I'm a mechanic
                        ICS M4 sportline - £90 - used
                        4xunbranded metal midcaps - £24 - new
LiPo battery and charger - £40 - new
                        Chest rig - £15 - new
                        4xBulle open top 5.56 pouches - £20 - new
MTP shirt and trousers - £25 - used
                        Mechanix gloves - £7 - new
                        Dutch dessert boots - £20 - used

For a total of £241, but drop the gloves, swap mtp for dpm and go with cheaper batteries and it's pretty well there.

EDIT-Forgot about the belt, so add a tenner, still not bad though

I'll try, using just ZeroOne :P

                          TracPac Patrol Boots- £29.95
BOL Smart Mini NiCD/NiMH Charger £24.95
                          Zero One 8.4v 1600mAh Battery £14.95

Clocks in at £247.70, not too bad I don't think, considering the camo could be got for a lot less depending on where its bought from!
