Re: new hit taking rule
If I got booted off a site because 1 idiot accused me of cheating and was then forced to wear an armband which will only serve to get other people to say the same, I wouldn't ever be going back.

Re: new hit taking rule
i think it really comes down to better marshalling at the end of the day .. when it comes to hit taking ...
or go into the car park and slug it out .. but thats my own views lol

Re: new hit taking rule
the marshalls are all realy good and they wont just put an armband on somene because little billy says so, they make there own minds up on what they've seen add that to the fact that there are at least 5 player marshals within the teams in addition to the marshals around the site.

Re: new hit taking rule
I don't like the idea of giving out an arm band for alleged non hit taking my self , there's just too many reasons for being accused of it (and there's just as many areas of dought on the shooters side as on the targets side ) and unfortunately after playing for nearly 10yrs now I do believe there are more than a few players out there who would use it as a way to target other players . Leave it to the marshals to just speak to/watch/penalise if needed , no arm bands to single out players .

i like close actions rule ... either speak to a marshal or just open up on the player till he takes his hit

Re: new hit taking rule
you all did read the part about marshals NOT giving out armbands to player accused players but players that THEY have SEEN not taking their hits or by player marshals.

Re: new hit taking rule
If the marshals are watching players not taking hits, why are they allowing these players to remain onsite?

Re: new hit taking rule
I agree most with Fizzy's point.
Ultimately if players have been seen not taking their hits by a marshal, then they should have been dealt with.
This armband idea i think will cause more problems than it attempts to solve, and as several have said, people will act differently when they know a marshal is watching them.

Re: new hit taking rule
As I've said before, I like the idea of humiliating a recognised cheater, but surely a better punishment is stopping the cheaters from playing?

is it not better to stop the cheaters cheating though?

Re: new hit taking rule
unfortunately there will be cheaters and some of them will always cheat so if they are going to be a part of a bad apple either chuck them out or humiliate them .. or open up on full auto till they take there hit

Re: new hit taking rule
Occasionally folks don't feel a hit, it's not cheating, they just didn't feel it. This weekend a martial pulled me in a CQB scenario, he said he'd seen a tracer bounce off my leg, I thanked him and went to respawn, I presume it had deflected off my serpa thigh holster. It's not cheating, just wasn't felt. Good martialing, but if he'd given me a green arm band and a warning I'd have left and not come back.
Putting a spike on every steering wheel in every car on the roads would stop all road deaths, I guarantee it, but it doesn't make it a wise policy choice.

Re: new hit taking rule
if i was pulled over for not feeling a hit of a bulging pouch and given an armband id be a bit pissed to but as i've said THAT dosent happen its for those people who get hit have a look around then keep playing or the ones who have bb's bouncing off them and keep playing its NOT for those of us who get hit but don't feel it and if challenged will say fair doo's mate and walk away like when someone asked me if i was gonna take the hit to the sole of my boot (i was sat crosslegged under a hut)and i took it like a gentlman, no need for armbands because it was a HONEST mistake and not being a dick deserving of an armband
