LOL, well you and me have a very different idea of what is a reasonable price for second hand goods, I don't go and pay nearly twice the price of a new car for a second hand car just because it's got some fancy wheels on it and I would expect the same from airsoft goods, which brings me back to the point of the this thread, save time by putting crazy prices in the title so I don't have to bother clicking on them

You gotta be kidding me, are you so helpless that you can't even open a link to check it out?
On the other hand, if mods'd allow us to edit the thread title it would be a good idea; but, I still can't understand why someone can't just open a page and check the price.

Re: price in title on sales
maybe I'm lazy, maybe I'm just fed up of clicking on stuff only to find out It's way over priced in my opinion. Call it what you want. I don't see why it's so hard for the seller to put the price in the title? As for being able to change it, maybe the mods could allow the title to be changed or maybe the seller could put 'will consider offers. Have it similar to ebay where the price is there for you to consider without having to click on every item

Re: price in title on sales
Pointless idea in my opinion.
It takes 2 seconds to click a link to view the price. The rule would be ridiculous to enforce and for more than one item in a listing it would end up having a title that was just far to long.

Surely that means people would have to then add massive titles as without looking how do you know, for example how many mags it has.

Re: price in title on sales
I think this has been said before, and it is true:
In a nutshell, a seller wants a decent return on their purchases on the second hand market, while a buyer wants to buy for as cheap as possible.
It's just a case of getting the happy medium, I think.

If you could amend the title, people would sell guns as fully working, and after the sale has taken place change the title to (broken). It would be scammers paradise.

That's possible now isn't it? people can change the content page and thus far, the price isn't in the title, plus I'm sure we'll still get the thousand bumps and the 'I've knocked £5 off'

Re: price in title on sales
Personally, as nice as it would be, I think there are too many variables. The reason it works with sites such as auto trader, is because you get a lot more info on the search page than you do here, as it isn't based off of a forum platform. Even then, think about how often you see a car that is priced reasonably, but then you click on it to find that the inner details of the sale "thread" expose something that puts you off. I don't think there is a way to do this successfully outside of either brand new or very basic items i.e. M4 mag.
EDIT: After saying the above. IF it was possible to have an extra column in the sales section between "Title/Thread Starter" and "Replies/Views", that the seller could edit at the same time as a BUMP (staying within the rules). I think that wouldn't hurt. It all depends on how difficult that would be and if it made extra work for the mods?
Multiple item sales just wouldn't have it.

Still don't get how this works with sales that include multiple items.

Or it's a specialised bit of kit (or just more expensive because it's very high end, thus putting it out of reach of some/most), and it takes a little longer to sell because it requires it being visible for the right person to see it?

Multiple items could be a problem, I think it could work for single items though without too much stress and most of the time it is someone just selling one gun

Re: price in title on sales
wouldn't work, more to the point, i don't see the point in it. Threads with multiple parts will cause issues with it, not to mention when the thread is bumped for a price reduction.
Whats wrong with just taking another 20 seconds and opening the actual post....?

Re: price in title on sales
As people have stated, it makes bump price drops un-noticed.
I would have thought though Gaffa that you would know the T&Cs of PayPal.
It does state that the fees have to be factored into the overall price, not added on afterwards.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.
