Tanaka M500... worth the price?
9 April, 2010, 19:06
Hi guys. I'm just about to order a Tanaka S&W Model 500 revolver, 8" in silver effect. It's £185 total... is it worth the cash? It's a fair price, but I don't want my Desert Eagle to beat it down in terms of performance.

I think the Dessie will kick the M500 in terms of range and 'fun' however, revolver may be more practical... Not sure on this one.

Other way round on the practical terms Marksman.
Kodiak its an experience to have an M500 for its sheer size and bad ass..ness
I think its more a collection piece that is very skirmishable.
Ask Boris hes had one.

If it's just a collectors piece, there's no point in me buying it. Everyone already knows I have the 8" Umbrella magnum revolver which is pretty much the ultimate airsoft collectors revolver

Re: Tanaka M500... worth the price?
they're epic, but £185 seems steep, i got mine for £140, but it was just the black 8" version.
how much do you want it? is it worth 185 queens heads to you?
and its very useable on the field, other than not being able to holster it, its very good, reliable accurate and you can adjust it for different situations ( out in the field long range, crank the fps up, in CQB lower the fps).

Re: Tanaka M500... worth the price?
Well I got about £350 sitting in my bank. I have a shopping list:
#1 - Get my PSG-1 gearbox fixed, not sure of the price
#2 - Get my Desert Eagle gold plated for £160
#3 - Buy a remote det pyro off my site owner.
So #1 and #3 I want the most so they're mandatory for me, £150 tops there. I have £200 left and I want some extra cash left in my bank, so I'll sell my M203 for that.
I can either pick Desert Eagle gold plating or this revolver.

Heh, my bad Lt. Did not proof read...
Oh yes, to answer your question about the grenade launcher, its around the £75-85 mark.
You could always annoy LtPurcy with starting your own pimped out 2011 project... :p - I kidd I kidd.

Hey mate, they're highly accurate, very powerful, and decently reliable. I'd recommend them. (and I have some rubber grips you might be interested in):p

I would be buying one of these right now if the retailer in discussion wasn't marked as a dodgey shop and had them in stock, even when they're listed as being in stock.

Re: Tanaka M500... worth the price?
Definately. I need to find somewhere else that stocks them, but that's a problem, especially in silver..
