Not gonna lie, my first...ooh, six or seven skirmishes with the full gear had some complaints from snipers (in CQB the armor makes little difference). Basically I would tell the marshalls at the beginning of the day that, if anybody were to report me not taking my hits, they should let me know immediately and the armor comes off right away.

Now, nearly two full years in with this getup, I don't ever get complaints anymore. I've gotten pretty good at listening for the sound of the BB bouncing off the padding. In an uncertain situation--because I don't want to take a hit from a wayward swinging branch--I stand up straight and stop shooting and give my possible ambusher a free pass to shoot me again. If somebody was there, he takes another shot, and I walk off. If not I continue. It's a decent system. :D
