    i just redo the trades using water based white emulsion, paint emulsion over trades then remove excess with a wet cloth,
    being water based it wont affect your new paintwork

        no hes using enamel and the thinners required will also strip your paint finnish, thats why i use household waterbase emulsion,

          Acrylics, thin brush or something like a tooth pick, if you want a quick job simply wipe off the top layer of acrylic afterwards, to strip excess paint
