  • Second hand Chinese clone prices..

Seriously i cant get my head around why people want more for a gun second hand than they paid for it new?????//?? Whats the crack....

Some one told me that because you cant get hold of them anymore.... they are worth more second hand, I mean my car was £18000 10 years back.... you cant get them anymore, yet i paid 3K for it not 28K......

Anyone have any input on this because personally..... i think its crazy lol

yep but just because they are not producing atm does not make a gun rare or worth more. the gun will only sell for what someone is prepared to pay for it. If they want to pay silly money for it then more fool them.

Exactly, You would assume that if you paid £100 for a clone then you would sell it second hand for about £60/£70 (depending on condition ect) But as others have said if the market rate is more then idiots will pay more. (Until the Chinese producers move to Taiwan and flood the market again)

I've laughed at those sales threads, too.

Very often, 'rare' means it was unpopular in the first place.

yeah theres a reason they dont make em anymore haha i wouldnt pay anymore than 100 for a bog standard clone and that would probably only be to upgrade it. dont worry your not going insane haha

Wasn't there a 'rare' Thundermaul on sale recently?

Yeah - this is airsoft, not Battle of the Planets.

                      Demand and supply.

Austin allegro- very low supply, very very low demand. Therefore price is lowwwwww

Jing gong guns- low supply at the moment, very high demand because of more young players and their increased reputation. High price

Pretty much what Waltz said. Limited run or no longer produced guns will always be sort after especially if they had a good reputation to price ratio, and users recognise this and will try to get the most for the gun

At the end of they day a User can advertise his Items at what ever price he sees fit as long as he is not pricing it on miss information (Selling a JG for £10000 and describing it as a Systema). Just because I may put something up for say £200 doesn't mean I will get it.

I wouldn't say that - plenty of people have bought a Jing Gong in the past. I have. And if somebody offered me silly money for it then I'd probably snatch their hand off. After all, if you could get £200 for a clone you paid £100 for you'd hardly complain, would you?
I believe he was referring to the Thundermall, not all JGs.

I do laugh at people putting a JG G36C up for sale for about £150. They were £95 new just a couple of extra mags don't add £55 to the value.
