      I don't remember the program saying anything about that but I don't see why not as it take time for the brain to change, ive also seen on there a blind guy that can use echo location to "see" whats around

      it can happen even to people that become deaf and not just from birth, what they showed was an MRI scan showing brain activity on someone that had become deaf and over however long the parts of the brain that are used for hearing started lighting up to visual stimuli
