    No, you said anything over 350fps is apparently classified as a Section 5 Firearm, which isn't the case, it's anything over the 1.35J and even then it's not cast iron. The 1J (328fps) ruling was a suggested Home Office guideline.

      I said apparently, as it is just that, apparently.

      The rules are not case iron - correct. But the point is to try and keep ourselves away from breaking the somewhat grey area of what is legal and not. Let's hope we never get an airsofter up in court to test this. So play safe!

      Why some people want extra fps (which gains almost about nothing) at the risk of them and the entire sport getting into trouble is entirely beyond me really.

        But you're confusing the 350fps site limits with law (grey areas or not). Sites have 350fps limits because that's the maximum limit their site insurance allows. However, their are sites with 360fps limits
