  • Buying a Dynatec BFG, Is it worth it ?

    Hello
I am soon going to buy a
Dynatec Blank Firing Hand Grenade for £76.95
    Like shown : http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=2415
I just want to know if it's worth it and what does it come with from any people that have bought it before .
Zeroone does not sell 12g shotgun blanks so i'm wondering where to get them from.
I will also buy the 9mm blanks like shown :
    http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=2416
Does the BFG come with a 9mm blank adapter ?
Please someone answer my questions as Zero one does not give much information what so ever.
    Thanks,
    Jason.

They come with a 9mm adaptor, and priming tool.

Check with the sites you plan to use it at if they allow them and or the use of 12g blanks. (Ground Zero does not).

Are they worth it is up to the person, you will know if you've ever had a situation where a grenade would have swung the battle, or won the objective. If you've ever felt like that then yes, they are totally worth it. Otherwise you'll be carrying round extra weight that will hardly ever be used.

      Yer sorry ,
I will be using it mostly at The Mall run by First and only airsoft.
They allow them there so that's fine.
Just want to see other peoples opinions .

It will come with a 9mm adapter, a reloading tool, and if youre very lucky and get a deal then some blanks too.

Most sites wont allow 12g shotgun blanks in BFG's as they simply cause too much noise disruption to the surrounding area. Stick with 9mm, theyll be loud enough!

          Yes.

One thing to make sure you do, is make sure you marks yours, so that you dont get it confused with anyone elses. And dont use them outside unless youre throwing into a building. Its too easy to lose them outside, and not worth the reward.

Indoors they are fantastic, as they go off a lot faster than disposable bangs, giving people next to no time to get out of the way. I use 2, just as sods law says that once ive used one, Ill need it again further on in the game. They also work fantastically as room entry pieces, even with nothing in them. Simply chuck one into a room, or yell "grenade out" or something like that as you throw it in, and you can be 90% sure those in the room will turn and run. you follow it in straight away, and put one in each backside you see!

If youre playing at the mall, get the 6mm adapter as well. The rather annoying 6mm only rule in the top level, makes most peoples BFGs utterly useless other than for room entries. So get it in 6mm, and you can use it anywhere

Nice and simple if you going to use them then YES!!

Nothing beats a BFG in a room full of people not able to get out
Sir we are f&cked we are surrounded. Son we are not f&cked we are in a target rich enviroment.

Just fyi The mall only allow 9mm downstairs and no 12g at all, they do however sell a different adaptor for shotgun primers and the the ammo which can be used anywhere on site. Contact Lee for info but iirc it was around 20 quid for the adaptor and some ammo

They are not loud, but it is afterall a simulation not an exercise in blowing people eardrums out :P

Is it worth it ? at the Mall for sure it is, the marshalling is excellent and people take grenade kills with honour, only prob is yoiu really need 3 to clear a corridor lol ( I only own 1)

I for one would actually prefer it if they were louder! 9mm I would like as the minimum. After all, we are supposed to be having a war, might as well make it that little bit more greulling and realistic!

the 6mm adapter would be better for your money, as they sell the blanks in boxes of 100 for £20ish. Whereas as far as i recall the shotgun ammo is more expensive, and doesnt sound as good. They sound like someone has fallen over more than a grenade going off.

Last time I was there we actually stopped the game, because we thought someone had fallen over, but it was a 6mm blank going off!

No we're not, it's a fun hobby. I value my hearing thanks. I'd give it up to save peoples' lives if there was just cause, but I don't think that will be necessary at The Mall...

Ooops. Meant to type a Pretend war! Not loud enough to blow out your ear drums or anything, but enough to give you a slight ring for maybe 5 seconds. Then again, Im fairly young (ish!) so perhaps my ears would take a beating a little better than some older players!

I do find it a little contradictory that The Mall does not allow a great deal of full auto, but DOES allow bloody load pyro without madatory ear def.

For me and my own opinion...

It has to be buy and chuck pyro...The likes of Mk5's, Thermo's ect. These can be sent on their merry way without having to contiunously think now where did I chuck that bfg. Or GR20 or GR10 whatever you end up buying. In a fast pased game you need to just get on with things not scrubbing arround on the floor looking for your bfg. Admittedly there is a good ammount of fun reloading someones bfg and returning the favour...

Then you wouldn't want to loose it in woodland, if you do woodland.

That's the thing I don't like about BFG's (I have one though). Chuck it and you've basically got to hang around to get it back which may not always ne as easy at it sounds.

Ones I get thrown towards me I usually put in a more visible place if I can. £80's a lot of money to lose...
