Well what about the guy in Rambo, 'Shcoolboy'.

He carries a suppressed (bollocks in other words) .50 cal M82 and gets a rather nice exploding head shot.

And his backup is a claymore and a knife.

Opening scene it is. The desi one that he uses to shoot the can of spam is a Cheytac M200.

Also, in the opening, thats not (technically) his backup. Thats his buddy's rifle. They're both carrying a marksman rifle and an M4.
