I use my m79 sawnoff to fire thermo single and multi bang
i use a kingsarm flat top 165rd grenade, put a couple of piece of cut to shape thin card between the 40mm and the grenade to prevent gas going round the side thus losing power and to stop the gas blowing the bottom of the grenade out
It sits just perfect so you can drop the grenade in a it sits proud about 2cm so you can strike it once you have slid it in rather then rushing with a 7 sec fuse.
It travels about 60m in reasonable temperatures
