Odd Hop issue...
17 May, 2011, 21:06
Hi there,
Having more problems with hop on my ICS M4, basically, I've tried everything and the pellet still flies left at around 20-25 metres... Any ideas?
Tried twisting the barrel so hop is at angle.
Tried 2 different nubs
3 different rubbers
cleaning the barrel...
No more ideas tbh, the pellets are flying rather sharply to the left or upwards and left....
Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Odd Hop issue...
Should have read it all. Have you checked how the rubber is sitting on the barrel and in the hop up?
Bent barrel or as above partially obstructed.

Take the nub itself out and test again.

Re: Odd Hop issue...
Tried all of the aboves suggestions
The only thing I can think is that the nub is obstructed somehow, though I can't see any obstruction....

Re: Odd Hop issue...
Take the barrel assembly out of the gun and looking through the barrel and hop rubber make sure everything is symetrical as you increase hop.

Re: Odd Hop issue...
Ok, so I've done most things I can now but I've found that the hop nub becomes stuck as I alter the level of hop... Any ideas/solutions?

Cut a slice off or use a different buffer.

Re: Odd Hop issue...
try a different hop up, or a different barrel if you have one to identify where the source of the problem is

Re: Odd Hop issue...
get a new hop up and hop up rubber and nub and then repeat the process. when u have the new hop up try just putting the nub through the hole in the hop up chamber and if it goes through fine then you are sorted

Re: Odd Hop issue...
Guys if you are going to post advise please make it usefull....
Don't suggest he buy new barrel hop and rubber, after he has narrowed the problem down to buffer.
