Re: Dying Gear
More pics in my loadout thread. Blackwater patch to be replaced shortly, and boots to be replaced with shiny black ones.

Re: Dying Gear
Nice work there mate. Must admit when I first saw the title of the thread I couldn't help but think "oh no, ruined gear" way to prove me wrong!
Is it darker in person?

Re: Dying Gear
It is, its the flash making it all look grey. Sort of a cross between Black & OD with the ACU pattern, really quite good :D
And thank you

Re: Dying Gear
It looks very much like A-Tacs, and it looks like it'll actually work on something other than your grandmothers sofa!
Very impressed with that, good job.

You could always bury them for a few days to age them, I know it works well with Gillie suits so could be worth a try. Maybe someone who knows a little more on that subject may speak up though.
Thought it'd be darker because of the flash. Could get us a picture with no flash in natural light
quite interested in this one as it's a different approach to the norm of "buy it and wear it"

I'm a rigger on my Nam forums, i make like SEAL rigs and everything that repro companies dont make, or things they do, but to cheaper prices, i could share a few things but you want to know about the dye!
Right, when you come to dye your stuff get 'dylon' the only military colours i've seen are black and olive green, but dont put one peice of clothing in and expect a good forest olive green, put a lot in and get a better result, also use less dye for smaller amounts of stuff. What are you thinking of dying?@

Its okay I would use the same spray dye as I used on the rest of my gear. I would just go with a light dusting rather than a full coverage.
I would use Dylon but I have just got a new washing machine and don't fancy putting dye through it just yet!
