Funny as they are the same company
Same company as much as pizza hut and pizza hut delivery are. Completely different franchises stuffed under one name.
I have to say I've never had a problem with parcel force. I'd sooner had them a parcel than royal fail. The record for them was 3 weeks for a first class delivery *rolls eyes*

Re: Another parcel force fail
guys
you have to remember alot of courier drivers are self employed, I work for a fairly big courier. If you have stuff go missing then complain and keep complaining. at our place the driver is actually liable if things get lost in his position and is often billed for it....im not joking either!
if he phones in sick the company actually bill him for £360 a day!
it really is nuts

if your going to send anything out via courier then double pack it and NEVER write fragile on it...ive seen guys throw LED TV's on to belts and people even STANDING on them
wrap it up then wrap it up again!

Re: Another parcel force fail
yes they do!!
One guy only this week was charged for his round, they split it in 2 and give it to two agency drivers and he pays. They parcels HAVE to be delivered no matter what so they send it out with agency drivers.
do you work for a courier?
(this is only for self employed drivers i might add...all ours are)
They have to arrange cover for all holidays they take as the company wont do it so they often have to pay £150+ a day for cover for any holidays they take.
Its expensive being a van driver!

If he's contracted to supply a service (as a self-employed contractor) then that's quite normal.
If my wife is off sick for more than 1 week she has to pay for a locum to cover her patients. That's about £500 per day, plus she's not getting paid. No surprise that she doesn't take sick time!

Re: Another parcel force fail
I see. Yes, perhaps that could apply to self-employed drivers but bloody hell, what an employment contract to take-on! F that....
