Re: Airsoft mortar!
I've known about the development of this one for a while now
http://zoxna.com/index.php?option=co...emid=3&lang=en
However I have not yet heard how far along it has come, how much it will cost when it does, or even what kind of projectile will be used
What I do know is that these guys build very solidly engineered grenades/mines, so I'd expect their mortar to be up to the same standard.
If anyone else has heard more about it, I'd certainly be interested to know

Re: Airsoft mortar!
The legality of a lot of what we do in our hobby could be called to question, throwing a ball grenade or thermo barac could be as bad as an Airsoft mortor.
I mil sim at events that use the Pyro based mortor, its effectively a double charge thero barac, the 1st charge launches it from the tube, and a few seconds later the 2nd charge goes off to represent the impact.
Nothing illegal at all, just a differant launch method.

It's a bad and idea and a silly suggestion, end of.

Right on Leon. This has been discussed before- launching any pyros out of anything is stupid and illegal- DO NOT DO IT
I understand where you guys are coming from, but I jut can't see that much difference in throwing the thing compared to launching it. As far a I'm concerned surely if you're not allowed to fire it out of a tube then you shouldn't be allowed to throw it at people, at least if it was fired at a relatively low velocity similar to a throw. Just seems an odd law to me

Re: Airsoft mortar!
i think that the law counts to chav's and the likes throwing/launching them in the streets, not to skirmishers throwing/launching them at events.

If that's the one used by Gunman Airsoft, then it is brown-trouser-inducingly hilarious. You certainly starting running the other way when you hear that first bang and see the other bang heading straight for you :D
