Tell you what M4UK, machine a regular AR M16A2 upper for the Tokyo Marui SOPMOD and you'd make a killing! I'd be all over that like jizz on a pornstar.

Re: Bespoke metal receivers PTW/TM Recoil
would love to know if there has been any development on this? Also I'm not impressed with the cheap plastic vltor emod stock on my CQBR recoil, so any chance you could mod a real one to take the TM recoil batteries would like one of these too.

Re: Bespoke metal receivers PTW/TM Recoil
We have now completed the design of the PTW receivers and will be running a prototype next month, it would have been this month but there is just too much on with other projects right now. These will of course be machined in batches as to do otherwise would be impossibly expensive and stupid.
Material and finish spec is identical to any 'real' mil spec rifle. Material is 7075T6 alluminium that is then Type 3 Hard Coat Anodised Black. Markings are YAG laser engraved.
Lowers feature a flared internal magwell that is Wire EDM cut.

Does this mean that you wont be making a TM Recoil one? I love the look of your rifles I know the website you will be selling these from and the biggest attraction was the fact that they are made in the UK.

I would be interested, obviously as long as above mentioned criticisms are proved to be untrue.
However, as stated, the prime receivers are damn good value for money, and quality is spot on so will take some beating.
Got rid of my TM recoil for a PTW now, but i would have been very interested in a new receiver set for it as finding one is a nightmare and the standard trades are too feint in my opinion

All interest seems to of died as soon as you mention you've gone with the decision on a PTW receiver, perhaps the TM recoil would of been a better choice?

Bit of a shame, would certainly have had one for the trusty TM. When I get the PTW - not really interested as there are plenty out there

As long as they at in stock, delivered quick and reasonably priced I think they will sell really well.

Shame there is no longer one being made for the TM Recoil, would have been very interested.

Re: Bespoke metal receivers PTW/TM Recoil
What was the point in having a poll, if they are not going to pay attention to it, most people wanted a Sopmod receiver, but they said sod that far too much demand, we are not doing this to make money (sarcastically), idiots in my mind, unless they have a good reason for ignoring the answer they got.
I for one would have loved a new receiver for my Sopmod, would love a Vltor one to match my CASV rails and EMOD (albeit fake) stock.

It seemed aimed at PTW's really as I guess expectation would be that's where the money is. Would have been sweet, already a few options available for that market so guess it would have struggled.

Re: Bespoke metal receivers PTW/TM Recoil
Id say tm recoil but im biased..
I wouldnt worry about whether or not theres already products out there.. locality is key, theres already custom recievers out for tm sopmod in japan, but that doesnt mean the people here can easier buy them, same goes for ptw lowers and uppers. Its never a bad thing having extra stuff made for airsoft.. bring on the extra choice and it will sell no mater what.. plain and simple.
Id keep it too limited batch runs and simply make as much choice as you have the time to develop. The price will be 200 + pounds i garrenty it.. just for the lower..
My vote personally is for m16 style lowers and uppers for the m4 recoil... but if your not going to be making them as acurate and authentic as poss then the point seems mute, as thats what someone making an m16 looks for ...

Re: Bespoke metal receivers PTW/TM Recoil
I'd echo Richard in suggesting that there is a big potential market for earlier M16 receivers for the TM Recoil platform. I for one would take an A1 and A2 receiver for my colt commando builds without hesitation.
