Well that sparked a bit of interest. I found the story online as I had just been to York recently on a holiday and wondered if there were any nearby airsoft sites. I thought it was York, UK myself so sorry for the confusion. It still shows though that kids can be so stupid no matter what country they are in!

I know that town, it's an hour from my house, it's a bit like lewisham for those who know it lol

As for the 14 year old who wanted to "intimidate" the 9 year old......if he was in the UK that would be treated as a firearms offence and he would have been up before a judge by now. British law makes no distinction between real and imitation when used like that.

It appears the same in Canada:
Police also say that if an air gun, or any replica gun, is used to commit an offence, the gun is classified as a firearm and suspects may be charged criminally.
