    Re: S&T AR-57

I thought P90 mags in general misfed due to the feeding mechanism? I remember lots of badmouthing of the TM P90 because of just that, though if that's not an issue with MAG P90 mags, that's pretty sweet

The Hi-Caps never work, but the MAG ones always feed ~150 BBs reliably just like all their mags I have owned. Even though I don't have a P90 right now I always keep some MAG mids in case I'm tempted to get another, or one of these AR57s.

Good to know! This'd probably make a really nice DMR...

Yeah although fitting a scope may get in the way of changing mags.

I'd of thought an ACOG would work alright, can't imagine anything longer working though!

seriously, i feel a DMR project coming on that uses the existing mags i already have. decent length, version 2 or version 3 gearbox, bipod and a scope.

probally need to gut it and replace it with decent parts...but hey ho such is life

Any word on what GB this uses? Standard V2?

Almost certainly going to be V2, probably a custom hop-up unit though.

Here's some food for thought in the mean time:

I want to do this with mine - bore out the front and stick a silencer in it like so:

And then slap a T-1 on it like so:

I only like those for the 5-7 content. I love mine. ^_^

I really like the looks of this, it's nice to see companies putting new stuff out there rather than same old m4's with a new rail...

As for the fact S&T are making it, I've had no problems with my Tavor, the metal gearbox version is great, and in fair i would imagine this would use a version 2 gearbox so even that wouldn't be an issue.

In my book S&T deserve an internet baked dough treat with chocolate chips.
