Re: Z1 stocking Dboys.
haha no worries, there seems to be a lot of suspected sarcasm going around recently.
While its a tad naughty zeroone are doing this, its also understandable but aren't they one of the biggest sellers? or is the scottish retailer the best now.

Re: Z1 stocking Dboys.
I think that in the UK many airsoft stores don't sell a mixture of Chinese clone weapons and (generally) Japanese higher quality ones because it comes down to basic business psychology and inverted genre/nice snobbery.
Many of the more established airsoft retailers in the UK are of such an age that the Chinese cloned weapons appeared long after the inception of the UK retailers and assuch, those retailers already had/have a heritage and precedent of providing the higher quality weaponry (e.g. Japanese). By stocking, for instance, a CYMA Thompson and a TM Thompson where they may be a price difference of £150 to £200 a buyer is of course going to go for the cheaper option, especially these days in this climate. Also, how can a retailer justify stocking both legitimately unless aiming each at a different type of airsofter - then factor in the possibility of upgrades to the cheaper alternative.
Most retailers pride themselves on the service and quality of product they provide, rightfully, and so stocking two versions of a similar weapon 'may' not be good business sense as it may attract the wrong type of customer.
Just a thought.
Personally I think UK retailers should stock the clone weapons as by not doing so produces a facilitating environment for speculation about inflated prices for the more traditional brands with a lack of first hand experience on the quality of the cloned weapons. By stocking the Chinese 'cheaper alternatives' may actually work for retailers as players may buy the cheaper options and see for themselves that it 'could possibly' be a false economy as the quality is not the same. On the flip side, if the Chinese weapons do perform well then this would raise questions in the ******* ***** about the prices of more traditional weapons and so may work to lower the overall cost of weapons which is not an ideal situation for retailers but is great for consumers.
Either way, the quality of airsoft weapons will improve as similar situations have been observed before. Japanese motorcycles (which were copies of British ones) were once considered in the same light as Chinese airsoft weapons have been considered in the airsoft community, but through development and progress Japanese motorcycles are now arguably the finest examples of motorcycle engineering and performance.
