They said that before they disappeared months ago. There was supposed to have been a container with them in shipped to the UK but I haven't seen any UK retailers selling them.
And the Masada's even more of an issue, especially as most were sold 'unofficially' to stop any law suits

Re: Chinese clones making a return
Going off topic slightly, I have checked a few companies, and the prices for ACM AEGs have gone up quite considerably.. For example, one popular site has the D-Boys Scar-L in stock, the old version is quoted as $192 shipped, whereas the new one is $244 shipped!
I guess that they have to claw the money back some how!

Don't forget the exchange rate as well. The £ isn't what it was 18 months ago

Re: Chinese clones making a return
Yea, but the site in question has just added the AEGs as new items, leaving the 'old' items as 0 stock. The price differences are clearly stated in US$, which is converted from HK$!

Re: Chinese clones making a return
Perhaps the US$ HK$ rate isn't what it was either?
Perhaps quality has gone up?
Perhaps they are simply trying to recoup their losses?
Perhaps it's simply inflation and higher running costs?

Re: Chinese clones making a return
Don't forget, they aren't ACM anymore. They are manufactured in Hong Kong. And therefore have stricter Quality Controls to adhere too. That would justify the rise in cost

Don't forget that the dollar, the pound, and particularly the euro have crashed massively since the recession started. They are much weaker than they were when the clones were at their height

Re: Chinese clones making a return
having collected a few guns since i have started airsofting i have always found my CA CA8-2 to seem like it was going to fall apart, this might be due to the price or the fact that the rate of fire is very fast. And recently i acquired a couple of AGM rifles from scotland a 416 and m4 stubby and i must say am very pleased with quality, ok so they don't have reenforced gearboxes but i paid the same price for both as i did for the CA8-2.
Also first aeg was a SRC gen ii g36c, loved the range and accuracy

my Cyma AK AIMS is a fantastic performer, and is a fearsome force to be reckoned with when going up against standard M4/M16 aegs!
My Cyma AKM AIMS outranges and out performs ALL my other guns apart from my AGM M14, to which it is on par with range and almost with on accuracy! :D

Haha that's pretty interesting. Those are my two go to guns. I have a newly acquired tm m14, but the mags are made by dboys and don't feed well.
That makes my cyma aims my workhorse gun. I can pick it up, fill up the mags, and rain down plastic death, russian/Romanian style!!!

Haha nice. Mines going to be turned into a blowback very hard hitting ak74su, as I can't get used to that wooden fore grip, and it's a bit large for what I want it for, which is a bit of indoors gun ho action! Spray and pray style.
Anyways. Yes, fantastic rifles cyma aks are! Just wish they had the finish/sexy looks of lct and vfc
