  • Echo1 M240 Bravo (FN MAG)

Well, the Echo 1 M240 Bravo version of the FN MAG is on it's way now. I ordered it from the distributor here in the US and it shipped out today. So far, I only know it is supposed to be CNC'ed aluminum versus pot metal. The only specs on it so far list the FPS with .2g BB's as 400 to 450. No info on the magazine, battery, etc. but I should have it (hopefully) by Friday, and if so I will post a review of it this weekend.

Echo 1 is a re-brand company, and I don't know if Z1 sells Echo 1, but I think that if other brands of M240's come out around now they would probably be one in the same.

    Stats from the distributor:

    Inner Barrel Length: 455
    Barrel Caliber: 6mm
    BB Capacity: ??
    Initial BB Speed: 400/460
    Battery Type: ??
    Body Material: Full Metal/CNC

Very nice... About time more of them came out. What's the cost roughly?
Goes by the callsign "Iceman" to avoid confusion with the entire Delta team...

                Yes but know
Echo1 made there own p90 and ks and acm rebranded hence why they all have echo1 gearboxs

Echo1 is still a good company they use xyt gears which are very good gears and metal/bearing bushings i just wish they put better hop units ,hop rubber and barrels in there guns if they did then there guns would be great.

don't know if any one else has noticed this but a first glance the heat shield makes it look a bit shorter for some reason

I don't have a MAP (minimum advertised price) yet so I am not allowed to speculate on a price (don't want to get in trouble with the distributor.) Hopefully I will know soon, but I wanted to get the gun in first!

I also would be surprised if the Ares M240 and this M240 are not the same gun.

Eagledriver do you have any idea if they plan to make a GPMG version?

                          Box:

                          Contents:

Also in the box, large 9.6v battery (unknown MAh), cheap wall charger, stock, and box magazine:

                          MOSFET!

Detail of stock mount on frame:

Flash hider is glued on plastic, around the metal one (not painted):

Quick change barrel latch behind RIS rail at base of receiver:

Stock slides in and latches at the bottom, Safety is behind handgrip at near the stock:

Magazine is held in place with a screw and the feeding tray:

Box mag mount (wires are a sound unit for winding):

Note that feed tray cover is machined, but the silver feed chute is cast and doesn't feel super sturdy

                          Stock latch:

Trap door in bottom and charging handle (spring loaded, but doesn't do anything to the gun):

                          Bipod latch

                          Feed chute

Magazine box - note that the actual magazine is CARDBOARD!

Silly question, but how sturdy is that cardboard? I cant imagine a few hours of rain will do it any good

I would think minutes, not hours...It is not thick cardboard, but it does seem sturdy. I think that it would have to be coated with wax or wrapped in plastic.
