    Re: ARES Grease Gun (M3A1)

I don't understand what this gun is.

Does the battery AND the ammo go in the magazine?
(if so i now see the need for many batterys and mags)

Just modify it to take batteries in the body.... A 7.4v 500mAh should do it.

Or a nice big PEQ 2 on the side :D

Making this a GBB would have made more sense.

The M3? It's a .45 SMG that was used to replace the Thompson in world war two. It gets the nickname 'Grease Gun' from its looks.

Wall hanger for sure, the odd plink and show off to the mates. Definately a nice wall hanger though!

              Ultimate fail.

Think the only grease gun I'll ever have my hands on is the Hudson GBB model, when I eventually find one (again).

Im sure it wont be long until somebody figures a conversion for it similar to the well MP7,
although it is a beauty of a gun. But i agree with Boris, SMG->GBB!! Dammit Ares why?!

                        Re: ARES Grease Gun (M3A1)

As a Hudson owner, I can say that once you get your hands on one, you won't be happy. It is only a wall hanger for me. Now the Ares would be a step up from the Hudson because it at least would be skirmish worthy. The Hudson is plastic and I only have one mag that works anymore.

I haven't physically seen the Ares, but with the Ares, I would imagine you could just use 7.2v Lipo stick batteries. They are very cheap, at least here. At RC stores online they are around $13 USD.

On a side note, I can't confirm if S&T is the OEM for the Ares M3A1. They do make the WA2000 and AW338, in addition to the Ares AEG's.

atleast youll always have a fresh battery after every mag change. Wouldnt it make your battery last longer over skirmishes

                              that is mental.

                              that is all.

Clever design..but potentially a flaw in it?

wont magazine wobble effect the contacts so you could get cut offs?

that if there is wobble though obviously.

This gun is plenty skirmishable if you have the money to fund it and can be bothered to charge all your magazines battery up.
