Re: Celcius CTW on Z1
A Hong Kong manufacturer, Celcius, looked at the highly expensive Systema PTW and developed a product that would operate in the same way, using the same set of ideals and manufacturing quality, but with a highly reduced price tag. The MX2 is the second generation Celcius PTW, refining what was learnt from the original, and making it even better.
I think I'd want to read plenty of reviews before ploughing £650 into one that's for sure

How? Are they magical or something?

Or maybe they don't need the huge markup so they can cover the costs of giving away their PTWs so their marketing department can claim MIL/LE use

Re: Celcius CTW on Z1
Haha they are not PTWs they are Ctw as the ptw name was taken and trademarked by systema
To clear it up
Only the gen 3s are any good and you can get then from the maker for £450 with warranty
the downsides are the gen3s barrel
a .01 needs to be kept clean all the time, the motor is the Same as the old systema ptws
You may wish to swap the ecu for the 2008 from systema
as they can't take lipo for long
Oddys airsoft in Ireland did a in game video
Plus look around in the uk and you can get it 200 quid cheaper

When they have pro line recoils on the site for £200ish cheaper it makes me chuckle.

Re: Celcius CTW on Z1
Yeah true mate many steer clear of the older versions of the ctw gen1 and gen2 as you will be replacing parts for the systema counterparts sooner then later
the gen 3s are ok til they break
But do we even know what gen this is , gen3 was released in aug 09 with the 2010 ecu and tb barrel

Re: Celcius CTW on Z1
ERRRRRR ....
please dont go for it ,
ITS a GEN II,
the gearbox will break and the ecu will fry itself is use lipo
the gearbox was made of rubbish materials and had poor QC at these stages
the Max or gen 2 are not for sale from the manufacturer
get the GEN III or the SYSTEMA PTW
you WILL be putting more money into fixing the gun then shooting it
youtube will give you videos about the sundial gear being wobbly in side to side movement, the motor blowing, the wiring smoking etc, also customers reviews on this say the same story

Re: Celcius CTW on Z1
A guy (nun-chuck) and his brother both own CTW's and they have put in PTW internal components into the ctw adding only an extra £50 ontop of teh price, and they performed just as well as a ptw, i couldnt tell the difference until i got closer, im tempted to buy one myself.
