Warm water washing up liquid and some 1200 grit wet and dry did my L85 perfectly

Re: Halfords Camouflage Spray Paint
It wen't well! Not absolutely perfect but it's a gun, not meant to be perfect
Very happy with the result, 1000X better than the original FDE colours!
Did the stock and the pistol grip.

Re: Halfords Camouflage Spray Paint
Thanks fella!
Did 5 coats on the stock and pistol grip!
Pretty happy with how it turned out considering I didn't key it or use primer!

Re: Halfords Camouflage Spray Paint
I just sanded my stock down and washed it with soapy water.
Around 4 or 5 coats, leaving only 10 minutes between (on a sunny day) didn't bother to prime and tbh it really didn't need it.
I also did another two coats a day later, mostly concentrating on the areas that will take the most wear.
Really solid paint, despite trying I can't put a scratch in it at all.

Re: Halfords Camouflage Spray Paint
The paint lasted well on a skirmish last Sunday and I was intentinally rough with it so see how it coped, absolutely perfect with 4-5 coats IIRC.
