... go and look for posts by Frontiers on a forum run by arnie as he has the full intel on the whole china situation. Please no rumor mongering as we have had quite enough of that already. Read what Frontiers has posted before you start making things up or adding youor opinions to the news article.

I've added no rumour, just fact from a Chinese newspaper.
FACT!

Re: China Crisis
Chinese newspaper + fact??????????????????????????????????
EDIT: To clarify, I'm not saying that your info is wrong, I would just trust anything in a Chinese newspaper about as much as I'd trust something said in a Labour party conference speech.

Re: China Crisis
Rockrobin, glad you picked up on the irony, mate.
To be honest the picture on the article speaks volumes, but as mentioned in the last thread regarding this, we have seen similar before, with stock and moulds being destroyed, and factoried supposed to be closed down, i don't think we'll really know whats happening.
Someone i spoke to in Hong Kong has seen or heard nothing regarding this, and with them being relative neighbours you'd think that Hong Kong retailers would have been one of the 1st to suffer.
There is an article in Recon Rag, but again, how much is fact?

Re: China Crisis
Apparently its grossly overexaggerated, industry insiders on arnies have confirmed that no ones facing the death penalty and the head of agm will get out of jail soon pending the greasing of the right wheels. Most of the rumours seem to have mysteriously originated from TM

you cant blame them though? To be in the industry for more than 2 decades, and to throw millions of pounds at developing systems such as the hopup, and to have it all illegally copied and sold, would make anybody mad?

Nooo, you have to type 'fact' in capitals or it isn't true
As has already been said, we saw this during the Olympics. Basically the head of the province needs to be seen to do something after government pressure, so he closes down a few factories. Once festivities are over, it's back to normal, and the head of province gets his bung again, which probably goes to bung some of the higher government officials so they stop hassling him. These factories aren't small operations, so I'd presume officials are quite used to turning a blind eye (and turning over a few $$$).
While it 'could' be different this time, I wouldn't start worrying just yet

Alas this is the way of the world, and always has been. If stuff hadn't been copied we'd have 1 type of car, 1 type of jeans, etc etc. Yes, TM developed the Hop up, but every AEG has one. do we see TM tryong to shut down G&P or Systema? No.

Re: China Crisis
pretty scary stuff. amazing how rumours abound too. cant be too sure at any time when dealing with anything official from china so well worth staying on top of the latest news. thoughts are with the manufacturers.

Re: China Crisis
why was the last thread abt this closed? i read it all and again im surprised. yes i understand that these manufacturers 'may' have been shut down, but surely 7.62mm was alluding to the point that if these rumours were true ~ which they appear now not to be ~ // then mabye [if those owners were to be put on a death sentence] the right thing to do would be to think abt them at this difficult time.
