Re: China Crisis
I can't see it getting back to normal for 3 months, in terms of retailers getting stock levels back up to normal, and such

Re: China Crisis
I talked to the guys who run a certain retailer/site near High Wycomb, who have very close relations with A&K, AGM, CYMA and JG, and they told me that JG and Cyma are already up and running again, but they have two containers stuck in Singapore awaiting release, containing for one thing, the VN M60s. They said this has further delayed the release of some more guns, such as the chinese Bren gun, so insted of these being here for Christmas, we wont be seeing them till next year
G&G TR15 Raider XL, CA G36K, G&G MP5A4, Cyma Thompson, APS AKS-74U, Custom TM Uzi, DE M56, WE Nighthawk X2, Cyma Glock 18C
RD Customs MG42, The Bone Cannon And Project Balderdash.
If you aren't laughing, you're doing it wrong.

Re: China Crisis
Just to further complicate things it appears some of the factories, whilst they have re-opened will only be shifting existing stock. They won't be going into production properly again until after the Chinese new year. That means February before things are well and truly back to normal (or as normal as these things get)

Re: China Crisis
Aeviv. I said exactly the same thing in a previous thread. I spoke to Liam a couple of weeks ago and he told me exactly the same thing. Unfortunately I think people tend to sensationalise things and make them out to be worse than it is. I for one believe what is being told me by a reputable retailer who has stock paid for and waiting for delivery than the rumour mongers who keep chucking up hearsay. TBH I don't know what the fuss is all about i can still get most stuff I want i just have to look a little harder than before.

Chinese Guns Ban???
Hey Fellas,
So I recently heard about all Chinese Guns getting banned from Europe due to Inappropriate materials in their guns. Is this true? And what is up with that??
Cheers,
M.A.M.

Re: Chinese Guns Ban???
there more info about it somewhere on here.
i think its because airsoft reps are classed as toys under eu rule and some of the metals used are deemed not safe for use in toys.

Re: Chinese Guns Ban???
It actually applies to JG, AGM, Dboys, pretty much all the main china manufacturers. The plastic and metal they contains some chemical, that the EU won't allow in toys as said. However, the good news is TM, CA, ARES all comply with EU standards.

Re: Chinese Guns Ban???
This is actually quite old news (not that it isnt important) but the point is, its not quite true. Some of the guns did not comply with COSHH legislation (or COHSS, or whatever it is), due to the presence of lead, mercury, and other heavy metals present, not in the bodys, but in the wiring and soldering used. This effected Dboys, AGM,
TM
and a few other manufacturers. Interestingly, CYMA and JG, as well as CA and most of the japanese manufacturers were not effected. The reason why it isnt a problem, is that these manufacturers, on the main, have changed their practices. DBOYS and AGM have supposedly changed the solder used. Last i heard, TM decided they werent going to bother changing, because they view everyone outside of japan as not worth their attention, though this may have changed. Basically, it isnt really a ban, it barely effects any guns, and it isnt being enforced, yet, anyway
Please see this thread, as well as iTrader, for trader feedback!

Re: China Crisis
COSHH stands for Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health. basically is a set of rules by the HSE guideling all types of hazardous materials used in the workplace or at home. All chemicals and materials are subject to scrutiny and if they don't pass strict government regulations they cannot be used. As an instance and to also show how ludicrous the laws can be here is an example.I work on the railway and we have basically huge amounts of chemicals and substances in the workplace that come under this guidline. One of these is washing up liquid. Belive it or not we cant use Fairy because it has not been tested in our workplace. We use an anonymous brand that is identified only by a Railways BR number. It is most probably rebottled fairy tbh but you get my drift. basically anything that hasnt passed these guidlines is illegal in this country. As for the Guns and suchlike I believe the COSHH ruling on the guns was to do with when they were to be destroyed and being used in landfill sites. please feel to correct any of the above if you have heard differently.
