Nice M4 Drake.
Once I've finished all my other builds I think I'm going to have to get one of those stocks for my Magpulised CQBR to replace the CTR that's on it now, If they do them in OD that is.
You said you're planning on getting a vltor front sight, will you be mounting the Magpul front sight to the rail on that? I'm just wondering how it would look as I have a similar idea to that for mine.

Thats the plan however it all hinges on weather or not the grip cap thing that secures the moe grip (or the original m4 grip) in place attaches to vltor sight block.

The front mbus on the vltor gas block isnt something real steel shooters would look kindly apon as the mbus can melt with the heat passing through the gas block but screw them this is airsoft and it looks cool as hell =D

It is actually very light. The rest of the gun on the other hand isnt.

If it's the KA vltor then you can fit a gas tube to it which will hold most handguard caps in place. Another good thing about them is they clamp to the barrel rather than locate in the notches like traditional front sights so you can put it anywhere on the barrel.
That said as long as you have the cap on the barrel it doesnt matter if it's attached properly.
As for the RS shooters frowning on it, Meh it'll look sexy and that's all that counts. At least you can claim its just for looks and the Vltor one would be used for shooting if you cared enough to come up with an excuse. I'm planning on fitting the Magpul sight to a gas piston railed gas block when I fit them so they'd really hate that.

Well, from an aesthetic point of view I'd be concerned at the choice of flip up front site with a hand guard that's designed to blend with the curves or the regular gas block fore-site. That and the fact the VST is already got a site on it, why do you need to give it an MBUS? Also, a real steel shooter might point out your flash hider is made for a 7.62 chambered rifle.

Of course, this is airsoft, and it's not about having a realistic gun at all. That's why I use a converted paintball marker.

When you're rifle is that good looking, it's the small things that make me hate it. Sorry for being picky.

I would like a GP-30 for my 74 as well, but unfortunately in South Africa you need a license to have anything that looks like it might have anything vaguely to do with explosions.
