Whats the diameter on that scope? My friends got a huge one ( I think its 4-16x56!!), he got it for free as well as his dad works in a hunting company, 200 squids worth of scope for free!

Oh dear someone lacking a sense of humour. If you had looked closely, you would see it is almost and identical scope to the previous M14. The other guys scope is only about 1" shorter than mine.

For a giggle, I placed another sunshade on the end. You will see it is a smaller diameter and adds about 4 more inches to it. You are right though it is too long for airsofting. But something that length would and is very practical for hunting.

You could basically say any scopes, bar red dots are ridiculous for airsoft because of the ranges we play. However, putting a scope on a gun is more of a signature for the player and the type of gun he likes to carry around. I happen to like a big scope on my guns and don't really care what anyone else thinks of them. That's how I like them.

Thats fair enough. I wasted a fortune on the sight on my EBR, as i never use it. It actually makes it worse to shoot with. Simple G&P Aimpoint, or Hurricaine Eotech is what i go with these days. Much better.

i made that mistake too, bought a 4x acog for my first mp5, didnt really work at all, especially as the eye relief is so low

Well, since the front sunshade doesnt fit (much smaller than the main one then no I don't.

However the scope and sunshade that is on the weapon is about 1" longer than Samus's scope and I do skirmish with that. It has a 1-10x zoom so is very practical at all ranges with the gun. Long scopes are like marmit, you love em or you hate em.
