the wood is looking great ben! after you smooth off the edges of some of those scratches, you could maybe try other techniques at weathering it. One method ive seen before but is extreamely effective is putting the gun in a large tarporlen, lift up all the edges and repeatedly throw handful of nails at the gun. The trick ive found to weathering guns is doing it as natural as possible, ie not using sandpaper/iron wool etc because whatever you do it'll quite frequently look hand done. another technique (which is harder to pull off but is even more effetive) is to cover up all the entries into the internal mechanisms of the gun, and similar to the nail trick, bombard it, but with little bits of dust gravel and pebbles instead. Give the gun a brilliant "battered" look and looks really authentic!

Very nice Hitman, how close to finished are you? I can see that it has Colt Trades. What did you use as a base?

To finish it off properly though you would need the correct out barrel (not a plain 14.5" barrel not the M4 version with the cut out) and the C8 receiver. But very nice all the same. Could also do with a lick of OD paint to really give it the Canuk look.

And for a base i used my favorite yet also least capatable gun, the ics m4 got it very cheap of a freind almost new, so the body would have too be a miss unless anyone has tried and made it work otherwise, and i wasnt sure which barrel is needed as it is not the same as seen on the l119, and it has definatly been considered with the paint yet i havnt seen any of the c8s with it only the c7. it definatly goes nice with the cadpat, i shall try too get a picture up tonight of all my gear.
