Which would have got onto the bbs then onto your hop, which would have lubricated the rubber meaning it imparted less spin on the BB, meaning you probably cranked the hop right up, which would have in turn caused the BB to jam in the hop more often.
If the mags jammed, surely the problem was the mags needing cleaning rather than the gun itself?

I had the same problem with my MP5 but B.E.N had a look at it, gave them a clean and it worked well.
