This is my work in progress for my mate!

This is how it started,


This is how it stands as of last night.








Jobs left are...
Fix leaking mags.
Fit silent o rings.
Replace blow back spring/lube which ever is needed.
Add laser.
Polish bottom of the mags,
Polish the trigger

Maybe silencer not decided yet.

I really like that. Have you replaced any of the parts with chrome ones or have you just stripped the black paint of? I've got a hi-capa that would look really nice done in the same way so I'd be interested to know how you did this .

Picked up one of those osprey suppressors to go on a couple of my GBB's, its pretty nice on a 1911.

Did some more chopping to my Detonics/1911 hybrid thing to make it a bit more concealable - bobbed the hammer (no point doing this on a single action gun, but it looks cool), re-profiled the bevertail as small as I could make it, reshaped the safety (also removed the other side of it, used to be ambi) and smoothed off the bobtailed mainspring. After polishing I dipped the parts in Birchwood Casey aluminium black, which turned the alloy a strange brown, which I actually like after a bit of polishing. Kind of looks like a shiny burnt bronze, or like it's been colour case hardened.
