Polar Star all installed. The best gun I've used, ever.

Also the first engine of it's type in the UK.

Doesn't the cable piss you off Redhawk? I just can't get around airsofting whilst being attached to your RIF by a bloody cable.

Shame the VSS has a completely different receiver shape to the SVD though. I imagine it'll take quite a bit of modding for it to go from 42 inches to 35.

Not at all, I tuck it into my SMERSH webbing and it's long enough to let me move properly without snagging.

Fuzzhead, you will have to go to certain American retailers to buy one. Polar Star don't have an EU retailer yet (they say they're trying to get one, but I doubt it). Unfortunately having it shipped from the US and due to it's price, you're looking at an extra £100 on top for import taxes.

Finally got my mitts on a GP-30 and I para wrapped my stock (Seems to be popular with real steal folders) Added the recoil pad for authenticity (Also way more comfortable than the rommy stock on its own)

Adding an RPK 74 to this lot at the end of the month, cant wait

Never skirmished it, but firing it in the garden it's a bit crap, the hop up is almost impossible to set up, if you turn it too far one way it just re-sets all your efforts, It doesn't stop turning when fully on/off like most hop units . And its not even A&K compatible either so no upgraded hop unit

Apart from that it is very well built and hefty

i only bought it as i like the look of it, Needs a proper Russian scope to finish it off.

My first skirmish with it, very wayward

I cleaned the barrel, stripped it down, made sure everything was aligned properly

Second skirmish, much much better. Put about 500 rounds through it now, and it seems to work best with the M120 spring and 0.25's. I will replace the hop rubber before going back to an M150 and 0.30's

I shall do some pics when I get the next thing I'm adding to it this week

My most inexpensive gun, a CYMA AKS74u but by far the most reliable.
