Liking the look with the Specter.
Can't get mine untill the end of the month and been looking for some pics so I can make a final decision between Specter and Acog.

Re: L85a1/a2... SA80a1/A2
i like the specter but it's the crappy ''1x - 4x'' version (meaning it's actually negative zoom to 1.5x). i did have an ACOG on it at one point and preferred having the fixed 4x zoom. i'm currently looking for a fixed 4X specterDR on various HK websites. but other than that i'm quite happy with how it looks, but i am thinking of doing a bit of weathering to it.
i personally prefer the Elcan specter over the TA31/35 acog

Seen a nice fixed 4x and docter combo from a Hong kong based retailer, think I'm settled on the Specter now, had the Acog before and there are loads out there with the Acog on now, yours is the first I've seen with a Specter.
What is wrong with your LLM01?

I'm in the same boat. I have a Susat but I'm looking at either an Acog or a Spectre as a replacement. No idea which one to go for though

Re: L85a1/a2... SA80a1/A2
just ordered that Elcan specter DR w/ doctor from HK.
My LLM01 was working fine, now the pressure pad has broke (loose connection i think), i had some old-ish CR123 batterys in there and they were working fine. so i put two new surefire CR123 (or whatever they call them) and then the light wouldn't stay on it would just flicker, the red laser was fine, IR functions not affected. switched back to the original batterys and all is fine, for now.
here's one for you RM stu;

Re: L85a1/a2... SA80a1/A2
I already have the spectre w/ doctor sight and it's a very nice piece. The reticule of the zoom is hard to see unless it's against a light surface but it's very useable. The red dot seemed to stay on for about a month even when the batteries were out so that was odd but it's not a big deal.
It's a very solid unit and I did have it on my G&G L85 which had the Madbull RIS, Magpull rail covers and Surefire flash hider and it looked very nice. Unfortunately the L85 went to pay for my VFC Scar and it looks even better on that.
I hope you guys will enjoy your new toys as they are nice pieces of kit.
