A2 lower, A1 upper? I do love me some carry handle, though...

The Prime A2 lower was the one I could find with the least offensive trades on it... I didn't want an M4 or Vltor one or anything like that :D The upper is just a generic lightweight one.

I didn't have a specific rifle in mind when I built it but it's quite close to a GUU-5P. It would have an FCC A1 style grip if it actually fitted Whoever designed it had never seen a PTW

Thought I would post a couple of pics of my PTW's

The SCK was intended to be a donor gun for a 416 conversion but its too nice to destroy so alternative plans have been made (WE Milled out 416 upper) till I can decide what to do with it!

TW5 has RS Surefire and RS Sliding Stock with the work done by ProjectTW from a normal TW5, am very chuffed with the results

Quick question - many of these guns are gorgeous, but im somewhat baffled as to how RS gas blocks, uppers and lowers and flash-hiders have all been acquired for airsoft guns - are they bought in country from retailers who are confident with the law or are they explained past customs somehow?

You can't easily convert RS lowers for PTWs and I don't imagine there are many people who have converted gas blocks or flash hiders as these are not easily available in the UK, for whatever reason.

Most of the branded receiver sets will be Prime and airsoft gas blocks and flash hiders are used (certainly in my builds).

Some of the other items like rails and stocks can be bought in the UK, or imported without any special paperwork. There is sometimes a slightly longer wait while they check things out on import (more so recently).

I suspect there are also some grey areas.

Even guys I know in the US don't normally bother with RS hiders as they are such a pain to convert.

Got no idea where my RS upper came from, however having friends across the pond does help a lot of people. How much of that is legal I couldn't tell you but there certainly are a lot of TWs with RS uppers floating about. The guy who does most the machining for Tac plays at our local so I can imagine he has a few answers.
