I like 'em, but as a FAMAS user you can probably guess I'm a bullpup fan. I just wish the SA80 wasn't so expensive and that some of them didn't have that problem with the fire selector.

I have mine locked to semi so don't have any fire selector problems.

What problem with the fire selector? My ICS L86A2 has no problems at all with the fire selector that I know of.

I hear the problem was mostly with the Ares and Star SA80/L85s.

My WA based S&W Shorty Forty.

I keep trying out new 'main weapons' but it always comes back to this. Nothing I've ever owned has fired so well, been so reliable & just so comfy.
Secondly would be my Ksc M945 for the exact same reasons, just not quite as perfect.

If I need to pick an AEG then as always it's an AK, none of that mosfet, lipo, deans crap, just a TM gearbox with an M120 spring, half stroked TM piston, 302fps max running on a 10.8v stick battery, all wrapped snugly inside an original Guarder AK-102 body kit. No scopes, bells or whistle - just performance.


With all the money spent on deans, gold plated this, mosfet that, helical something, 8mm bearing the other you can just run a TM gearbox into the ground (mines into the triple K figures with no fails yet), keep a spare gearbox too & just replace the bits that need replacing, if they need replacing without any of the hassle that go with complete gearbox mods.
This simple set up gives me 21rp/s & the 10.8v stick gives me instant trigger response on semi, I rarely flick to auto anyhow...
