Re: the sandy/dusty look operator style m4
i bought an ics m4 ages ago that had been previously kryloned tan...i spent ages removing the paint, and it ended up looking similar to yours....i didnt like it coz it looked weathered and i liked the new look, but a couple of years later and my tastes have changed,it also helps seeing lots of real steel versions on film, and the state that they get into....so im going to resurect it again, and probably distress it a little bit more

Re: the sandy/dusty look operator style m4
I come from a Field Target background having spent £2000+ on Steyr's and Walther Dominators, came 16th in the world champs in 2010 I cried when I had any dirt on them. I started Airsoft in April and bought a cheap(ish) M4, against everything I know about gun care, it just didn't look...... well real, so I got the wire wool and the wife's nail file out and aged it, before I even shot it.
I love the dusty look that you've achieved, I was thinking of dry brushing but prefer your look. Pm me if you can with the link.... Love it, congratulations on a brill job.

As it's your thread I should have said how sweet your m4 looks
