It's a TM fitted with the following:

              Base TM 1911
              Prowin metal slide & frame
              Prowin outer barrel
              Prowin metal piston head
              PDI tightbore barrel
              TM hop rubber
Guarder enhanced recoil and hammer springs
              RS Pachmayr Grips
Mags are all TM and they're all modded for hi-flow

a nine ball hop rubber and lees laser shims would go nicely in there

Shims don't do anything positive in new TM mags. The gas routers are generally good enough to start with.

lol you have seen the poor gas efficiency of the single stack tm mags

Re: Stalker's return, an ongoing odyssey.

That's because they are tiny, low volume, thin and don't have much metal in them to maintain a decent temperature, it's nothing to do with them leaking. The guns with good efficiency are the ones with big, heavy mags and light slides. Take the standard 5-7 and the Deagle... Also, a Hi-Capa 4:3 has a good balance. Reasonable sized mag, short, light slide...

All the shims do is force the rubber router to sit higher up and press against the blowback inlet more, whilst this might create a firmer seal, it's also going to mean the router gets worn down faster as the gun cycles.

If your routers are already worn, or your mag is built to sloppy tolerances, you would probably see a bigger increase in performance from shims, but if you have a decent, high tolerance TM mag, I don't think it's worth it.

I agree with every word you said there ben, shimming the router is a pointless idea. Look after your mags and they wont give you trouble.

Nearly every single stacker 1911 in airsoft wont have a great performance in cold weather due to the gas reservoir size but hey its a proper skinny grip 1911 so who cares!

Stalker are you going to put proper full pics in the 1911 thread so we can actually see the dam gun :P Did you build it yourself?
