I think alot of people didnt get the idea of this thread.
the way i see it, the guy is asking what is the best 'class' of weapon, as in heavy machine gun, sniper, assault rifle, pistol. However that dosnt change much as it still leaves everyone arguing, and obviously the best weapon type changes with game type and map... so which ever way you at the question its gonna cause people problems.....

I would say get a reliable assault rifle because if you are new you don't want to use a sniper.

But what am bestest gun!?! If your new to the sport, use a nice little aeg, it'll keep you happy, and is the best all rounder. Try out an upgraded VSR for a day sometime and then decide if sniping is for you.
