cut the cogg off the barrel nut came off quite easy without heat, lathed it all down but it leaves a 2mm gap where you bolt the upper mk18 ris onto ? if i filled this gap with washers or rubber seals would it work?

plus best way to tighten the barrel nut up as its a flast surface now nothing to grip onto
