Battery Questions
15 January, 2014, 21:48
Hi this has probably been covered before but i could not find it any where. Basically what im looking to find out is what size of lipo would be suitable in my AA r85a1. It is currently running a 9.6v 1600ma with no issues. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Re: Battery Questions
Your right, it's been done a lot.
7.4v 1400mah Lipo should be fine. Anything 7.4v lipo will be sufficient.

Re: Battery Questions
Thanks for your advice. Does the C rating on the battery have any influence in which one i should get?

Re: Battery Questions
The higher the C rating the better though there will be a point where it doesnt matter for airsoft purposes.
The C rating is the discharge rating and can be explained with the following:
Battery capacity (in Ah) * C Rating = Maximum continuous discharge
So 1400mAh battery with a 20C rating
1.4Ah * 20C = 28A continuous
a 1400mAh with 25C rating
1.4Ah * 25C = 35A continuous
Most airsoft motors require no more than 40A but having the head room cant hurt.
Upcoming Games:
None

G&G GR15 Raider-L, KJW P226, Cybergun M3, TM MP5 (x2)

British MTP, Warrior Assault Systems RICAS, Magnum Elite II Boots
